Literature Circles for the 21st Century
Teachers, Grades 4-12
Literature circles are a proven strategy for meeting the needs of diverse student readers. They are akin to real discussions that real people have about books and ideas. In addition, 21st century students are ready to use technology-based tools to develop literacy skills. Blogging, wikis, social networking, and surfing the web come naturally to our students because these are their literary experiences outside of school.
